On this day we were looking for another fun way to enthuse our early learners to write. We provided feathers from the dollar store and some paint. The children that already had a strong interest in writing flocked to the writing table for this provocation. However, we were excited to see how this provocation drew some children that generally wouldn’t choose writing on their own.
These alphabet strips (with Jolly Phonics pics) are from http://www.communication4all.co.uk/http/PhonicsPlus.htm. I think this website has a lot of great ideas. Since we use jolly phonics songs and pics to instruct we have also printed off these awesome Jolly Phonics cards and display them really low on our wall.
