Reindeer Thumbprint Tree Cookie Decoration

Last year this was a gift our early learners wrapped and gave to their families for the holidays.

We cut some tree cookies and drilled a hole in the top of each. Our learners dabbed their thumb in brown acrylic paint to make a thumbprint on the tree cookie. They each had an opportunity to decorate it with a qtip to do the red nose and permanent black marker for the antlers, eyes, and their name. We wrote the date on the back and “made with love from Kinderland”. We added some candy cane striped ribbon and a bell from the dollar store to top it off.

We received feedback from parents about how special and timeless this decoration was. We were thrilled that they would look forward to putting this ornament on their tree yearly to remember the special moments of when their children were this little.

We decorated our tree with them first to appreciate their beauty.
